Walkacropolis

An elevated pedestrian walkway along the full length of 42nd street in New York from the Intrepid Museum to the United Nations, punctuated by distinctive elevated "Unsquares" over each intersection. A multimedia, yet green and comfortable space to move around times square. Much more than a walkway, rather an architectural highlight fitting of one of the world’s greatest cities. The walkway provides a continuous elevated "smart" pedestrian environment with a rich program mix of support for autonomous vehicle handling, signage and traffic management addressing the street level, and civic and cultural media experiences.
